Meet Linnie Hice

Linnie Hice started playing guitar in his early teens after being turned on to Alcatraz (Steve Vai) by a friend. With his main inspirations taken from Vai and Racer X guitarist, Paul Gilbert, Linnie took his guitar and ran with it! By the age of eighteen he was in his second Berkeley theory program during the day and gigging with the progressive rock band, Lovekraft, at night. Linnie broadened his playing repertoire by diving into the chicken pick'n world of hot players like Brent Mason and Albert Lee. Soon after, he was making a living as a "hired gun" guitar player for a popular Nashville based act before disappearing from the music scene. Jump ahead a few years......and after four long years in Iraq and Afghanistan Linnie put his rifle down and picked his guitar back up after some encouraging words from guitar great Brett Garsed. Shortly after, he entered and won a regional guitar “shred off”. With his newfound momentum, Linnie began diligently working on his solo album project entitled "Stand". While recording his album Linnie wore many hats during the project to include writer, producer, engineer, guitarist and singer. With the help of former L.A. musician, Jim Abell, a drummer in a Branson style music show with Linnie earlier in his career, he formed a power trio rock band to support both his live solo act and to perform music from his new album.

Linnie stays busy playing in one of his three music projects. You can catch Linnie on any given night playing live with either his groovy power trio project; his acoustic duo with Robert Presley called NAKED BY NINE; or the fusion band, COLD FUSION.
